UEE42611 - Certificate IV in Hazardous Areas - Electrical

On 5 October 2020, UEE42611 Certificate IV in Hazardous areas – Electrical qualification was superseded by UEE42620 - Certificate IV in Hazardous areas - Electrical. The new UEE42620 Certificate IV in Hazardous areas – Electrical qualification is a result of an update of the UEE11 Electrotechnology Training Package, which is now the UEE Electrotechnology Training Package. Training Packages are updated by Australian Industry Standards following consultation with the electrotechnology industry and other stakeholders. The Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA) has approved an extended transition period for superseded qualifications and deleted units of competency in the UEE11 Electrotechnology Training Package. The extended training, assessment and certification issuance period has been extended until the 5 October 2022. (Reference: ASQA approves extended transition period for UEE11 Electrotechnology Training Package Release 2.0 until 5 October 2022 | Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA)). UEE42620 - Certificate IV in Hazardous areas – Electrical has been deemed as ‘Not Equivalent’ to UEE42611 Certificate IV in Hazardous areas, and Response Learning is required to apply to ASQA to add the new qualification to our scope of registered qualifications. Whilst we are awaiting approval from ASQA for the new qualification, we will continue to accept enrolments from students and our Third Party delivery Partner – Extend Training into UEE42611 Certificate IV in Hazardous areas, in line with the ASQA approved extended transition period. Response Learning will work with students and Extend Training, to ensure students either complete their training under the current qualification, or transition to UEE42620 - Certificate IV in Hazardous areas – Electrical (once approval has been sought). A final date for enrolments into UEE42611 Certificate IV in Hazardous areas – Electrical will also be advised. UEE Unit Enrolments (EEHMI; HAC; HAD) Where enrolment is for sets of units leading to a Statement of Attainment, the same process as above will apply. Once Response Learning is approved for the delivery of related units, a final date for enrollment into superseded units will be provided. Please note that the UEE Electrotechnology training Package has significant changes that may impact the delivery of some of the previous sets of units. Note: Response Learning cannot issue certificates or statements of attainment for UEE42611 Certificate IV in Hazardous areas – Electrical after 5-October-2022.
